In the early morning hours of Thursday, February 20, 2025, the life of 64-year-old Afdera Danay Hatten was tragically cut short in Philadelphia. Officers from the 12th District were alerted to the sound of gunfire, and shortly after, at approximately 2:47 a.m., a 911 call reported a woman down on the highway near 5200 Greenway Avenue.

Upon their arrival, police found Hatten unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her back. She was quickly transported to Penn-Presbyterian ...
