On March 22, 2025, Teresa Rene Adams-Pugh, a 54-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed in her home in Garner, North Carolina, in what authorities have classified as a murder-suicide. Her husband, 53-year-old Christopher Pugh, was identified as the perpetrator.
