The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a 911 call around 1 a.m. from a man who stated that he had shot someone who was trying to break into his apartment.
According to the caller, he was awakened by a loud banging at his door. Believing it was an intruder, he fired his weapon. When officers arrived, they found evidence of forced entry at the front door of the apartment, corroborating the resident's initial account.
