In a quiet South Jersey neighborhood, the life of 19-year-old Qaasir K. Greenidge of Sicklerville, a male, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, December 30, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., reports of gunshots shattered the peace in the Colonial Estates mobile home park in Williamstown. The events of that night stemmed from a dispute that escalated to gunfire.
Responding to the scene on Texas Avenue, Monroe Township police officers began an immediate search of the area. During their canvass, three individuals were detained, though their connection to the shooting was not immediately clarified. A K-9 unit was deployed, leading to the discovery of an unconscious Greenidge in the backyard of a residence. He was suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Qaasir Greenidge was rushed to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township, but his injury proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
