On the final night of 2017, New Year's Eve, a festive occasion turned tragic for a Las Vegas family. Richard Gaudio, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, was celebrating the holiday by setting off fireworks in the driveway of his home. The residence was located on the 4800 block of Chantilly Avenue, near the intersection of Charleston and Nellis boulevards in the eastern part of the city.
