Death by Force

On the evening of December 29, 2024, Lansing police responded to a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Belle Chase Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered 36-year-old Deandre Luckey, a Black male, suffering from gunshot wounds alongside a 25-year-old man who was also injured. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital, where Luckey was later pronounced dead. The younger man survived his injuries and was treated before being released.
