On a Saturday morning in Greenville, Mississippi, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace in the 900 block of North Theobald Street. When police responded to the calls on April 19, 2025, they discovered the body of 42-year-old Reginald Nash, a Black male, lying near the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene. His body was subsequently sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
