Gary Wayne Thompson, a 17-year-old African American male from McComb, Mississippi, tragically lost his life to gun violence on May 3, 2025. The incident occurred during a Senior Skip Day gathering at Baertown Park, a popular local spot. Around 5:25 p.m., gunfire erupted, striking Gary in the head and another 17-year-old male in the buttocks.
