On June 8, 2024, 25-year-old De'Adrian Lajarvous Lee of McComb, Mississippi, was fatally shot in what authorities describe as an ambush-style attack. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Elmwood and Pine Streets, where Lee was struck by gunfire 14 times.
