On the evening of March 14, 2025, 14-year-old Jerron George Chapman, a white male from Saint Paul, Minnesota, sustained a gunshot wound to the head while at a relative's home on the 300 block of Bates Avenue in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood. Emergency responders arrived around 9:25 p.m. and transported him to Regions Hospital, where he was placed on life support. Despite medical efforts, Jerron was declared brain-dead shortly thereafter.
