On April 28, 2025, authorities in New Orleans discovered the body of 24-year-old Patrick Prosper inside a submerged vehicle near Pontchartrain Park. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office later identified Prosper and determined that he had died from a gunshot wound. The vehicle was found in a water hazard at the Joseph Bartholomew Golf Course, with police responding to the scene around 10:45 a.m.
