In the early evening of Monday, February 17, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in a Shively, Kentucky apartment complex that claimed the life of 18-year-old Sabrie Johnson and two other teenagers. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:20 p.m., Shively Police arrived at the Williamsburg Apartments on Crums Lane, located across the street from Butler High School. Inside one of the apartments, officers discovered a grim scene.
Sabrie Johnson, along with 19-year-old Simeon Watson and 18-year-old Mia Lee, were found together, all having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed their identities. While police believe the act was not random and that there is no ongoing danger to the community, they have not yet determined a motive for the triple homicide.
As of the latest reports, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of Johnson, Watson, and Lee. The Shively Police Department's investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing as they continue to seek those responsible.
