On February 4, 2023, 25-year-old Marvin Tyrone "Ty" Davis II and his roommate, Daniel Fitzgerald, were fatally shot in their residence on 15th Avenue in Middletown, Ohio. The two friends had returned home after spending the evening at a local bar on Elliott Drive. At approximately 3:27 a.m., both men suffered gunshot wounds. Davis managed to call 911, pleading, "Please come help me, I don’t want to die."
Emergency responders arrived to find Fitzgerald deceased at the scene, while Davis was transported to Atrium Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Middletown Police Department launched an investigation into the double homicide. Initial findings indicated no signs of forced entry or evidence suggesting a robbery motive. Authorities have identified a person of interest and are seeking additional information to make an arrest.
