Dywaun L. Flowers, a 33-year-old African American man from East Saint Louis, Illinois, tragically lost his life on March 6, 2025. Flowers was shot multiple times at a Phillips 66 gas station located in the 8300 block of State Street in East Saint Louis. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire at the scene and discovered Flowers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Touchette Regional Hospital in Cahokia Heights, where he was pronounced dead at 12:42 a.m.
on March 7, 2025.

Born on July 19, 1991, in Centreville, Illinois, he was raised in East Saint Louis and attended school in the local district. He had a passion for music, games, fishing, and cars, and was known for his love of spending time with family and friends. His nickname, "East Side Clyde" or "Waun Unplugged," reflected his energetic and engaging personality. Flowers was also a father, leaving behind his son, DeMorion Rucker, along with numerous siblings, cousins, and loved ones who cherished him.
