Zulma Daniela Calderon Pacheco, a 21-year-old female from Chicago, was fatally shot at Mansion Live Nightclub in Stone Park, Illinois, on March 8, 2025. The incident occurred around 1:39 a.m. when a fight broke out inside the club. During the altercation, a security guard fired a single shot, striking the young woman in the face. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a homicide. Calderon Pacheco had gone out that evening with her boyfriend and cousins to enjoy a night of dancing, but tragically, she did not make it home.
Her family, devastated by the loss, described her as the eldest of five siblings. Her mother, Fabiola Pacheco, struggled to comprehend the tragedy, while her younger sister, Melannie Calderon, recounted the terrifying moment their family learned of the shooting. Videos circulating online captured the chaotic scene, showing a man in a black shirt pulling out a gun in the crowd.

Authorities later arrested 35-year-old Kevin Henley Jr., a Chicago resident, in connection with the shooting. Henley was charged with involuntary manslaughter and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. According to police, he was acting as a security guard at the nightclub when he fired the fatal shot. Calderon Pacheco’s family and longtime boyfriend filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Mansion Live, alleging negligence and a history of violence at the venue. The lawsuit claimed that security guards should protect patrons, not endanger them, and described the act of firing a gun into a crowded dance floor as reckless.
Henley was scheduled to appear in court in Maywood for a pretrial detention hearing. Meanwhile, Calderon Pacheco’s family set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses. Mansion Live issued a statement expressing heartbreak over the incident but did not immediately respond to further inquiries. The tragedy left the victim’s loved ones searching for answers and justice in the wake of her untimely death.
