Death by Force

James Edward Pittman, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago on March 10, 2025. According to reports, Pittman was standing on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Madison Street when a vehicle pulled up. A passenger exited the car and opened fire, striking Pittman multiple times. Emergency responders transported him to Loretto Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:29 p.m.
