Death by Force

John Brunious, a 60-year-old man, was fatally shot in the head during a domestic disturbance in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago on the morning of March 11, 2025. The incident occurred inside a home on the 5400 block of West Ferdinand Street. Paramedics arrived at the scene around 8:40 a.m. and pronounced Brunious dead. The Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
