Death by Force

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 9:43 AM, Merrillville Police Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a location in the 700 block of E Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals inside the establishment who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Authorities later identified one of the deceased as Amanda B. Dusek, a 42-year-old Caucasian woman from Worth, Illinois. Her death was officially ruled a homicide.
