On March 3, 1989, 24-year-old Margret M. Gill, also known as "Peggy," was tragically killed while working the night shift at the Days Inn in Merrillville, Indiana. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning at a time when she was alone in the lobby of the hotel, which was located at 8290 Louisiana Street.
