Damien Jermaine Wafford Jr., a 31-year-old African American male from South Bend, Indiana, tragically lost his life on February 26, 2025. He was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 800 block of East Indiana Avenue, just a few blocks north of Riley High School, around 1:45 p.m. Emergency responders transported him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
