Rodney Daniels, a 59-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on February 14, 2025, in Miami Gardens, Florida. Daniels was shot shortly after 7:20 p.m. at a shopping mall along Northwest 27 Avenue. Emergency responders from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and transported him to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Daniels was a beloved family man, remembered for his strong values and deep devotion to his loved ones. Born on September 9, 1965, in Miami, Florida, he was the youngest of six children. He leaves behind a grieving family, including his mother, Genevieve Daniels, his children Wayne “Billy” Ellington, Marquitia “Quitia” Williams, and Rodneice “NeNe” Daniels, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding any arrests or suspects in connection with Daniels' murder.
