James Walter McGuire, a 48-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on March 28, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred on the city's east side, where McGuire was one of two individuals shot in a violent encounter. The second victim, Warren D. Murrell Jr., also lost his life in the same incident.
