On March 19, 2025, authorities in Pompano Beach, Florida, responded to a welfare check at a residence on South Golf Boulevard. Upon entry, they discovered the bodies of 72-year-old white female Colleen Sheridan, her 32-year-old son Connor Sheridan, and her 80-year-old husband James Sheridan. Investigators determined that James Sheridan fatally shot his wife and son before taking his own life in an apparent double murder-suicide.
