Upon entry, they discovered the bodies of 72-year-old white female Colleen Sheridan, her 32-year-old son Connor Sheridan, and her 80-year-old husband James Sheridan. Investigators determined that James Sheridan fatally shot his wife and son before taking his own life in an apparent double murder-suicide.
Colleen Sheridan was a dedicated community member, known for her volunteer work with organizations such as St. Vincent de Paul and Milo’s Dog Rescue of South Florida. She also served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Coleman Catholic Church. Her son, Connor Sheridan, was an aspiring real estate agent who had recently obtained his license and was working with Coldwell Banker. The family had relocated from New York to Florida in the 1990s and were known to work together at a local thrift store.
The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with friends and neighbors mourning the loss of Colleen and Connor. No prior indications of domestic issues were reported, and the motive behind James Sheridan's actions remains unclear.
