Matthew Wayne Keel, a 55-year-old man from Ocala, Florida, was found dead in his home on April 9, 2025. His death occurred on the same day he was scheduled to be sentenced in court for multiple counts of animal cruelty. Keel had pleaded no contest to 43 charges, including 23 counts of aggravated animal cruelty and 20 counts of animal cruelty.
