On the night of April 9, 2025, 17-year-old Isaic Anthony Aromin-Quintoa was fatally shot in Stockton, California. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Lafayette and South San Joaquin streets. Isaic, a male teenager of Filipino and Latino descent, was found alongside another 17-year-old boy, both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital, where Isaic was pronounced dead later that night.
The second victim, later identified as Marques Yarbrough, remained in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on April 15.
Isaic was a resident of both Stockton and Lathrop and attended Stagg High School in Stockton. He was known for his reserved nature, infectious smile, and deep appreciation for music. In his younger years, he played football for the Lathrop Jr. Spartans and ran track at Lathrop Elementary School. Isaic was excited about starting his own music recordings, reflecting his creative spirit. He cherished his family and friends, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The Stockton Police Department continues to investigate the case, urging anyone with information to come forward.
