On March 24, 2022, Juan Gonzalez, a 48-year-old resident of Cathedral City, California, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred in the afternoon near the intersection of Shifting Sands Trail and Mission Indian Trail. According to reports, multiple calls were made to the Cathedral City Police Department around 3:28 p.m., alerting them to the shooting.
