On January 23, 2023, a tragic mass shooting occurred in Half Moon Bay, California, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, including 64-year-old Jingzhi Lu, a resident of Half Moon Bay. The incident took place at two mushroom farms: California Terra Garden (formerly Mountain Mushroom Farm) and Concord Farms. The victims were identified as:
