Authorities responded to an apartment complex on Seneca Road in Victorville, California, on the evening of April 17, 2025, following reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 53-year-old Jermaine Trotter, an Apple Valley resident, lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported Trotter to a local hospital for treatment, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries five days later.
