Jaylon Johnson, a 24-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in the Gardena area of Los Angeles County on May 6, 2025. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 14700 block of Crenshaw Boulevard. Paramedics rushed Johnson to a hospital, where he was formally pronounced dead at 1:12 a.m. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity and ruled his death a homicide, citing multiple gunshot wounds as the cause.
