In the early evening of December 27, 2024, a burst of violence shattered the quiet near 8th Street and Montecito Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. Responding to calls of a shooting around 7:20 p.m., police officers arrived to find a man gravely wounded. The victim, later identified as 33-year-old Rayeon McKinnon, had sustained at least one gunshot wound.
