In the quiet mountain town of Seeley Lake, Montana, Clifford Lee Nelson, a 49-year-old Caucasian male, was a respected and beloved figure. A longtime teacher at Seeley Lake Elementary, he had once been named Montana's 'Teacher of the Year' in 1981. His peaceful life was violently cut short in the early morning hours of September 30, 1996, when he was found murdered in his home.
