Barbara Ellen Begley, a 17-year-old high school sophomore, tragically lost her life on April 18, 1982, in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was a member of the Choraliers singers at Hobbs High School and was part of the Class of 1984. Her death was later attributed to Henry Lee Lucas, a notorious serial killer.
