Anita Mary Luchessa, an 18-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on May 7, 1972, in Alameda County, California. She was a victim of the infamous serial killer Edmund Kemper, known as the 'Co-Ed Killer'. Luchessa, along with her friend Mary Ann Pesce, was hitchhiking to Stanford University when Kemper picked them up in Berkeley, California.
