Mary Ann Pesce, an 18-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on May 7, 1972. She was one of the victims of Edmund Kemper, a notorious serial killer. Pesce and her friend, Anita Luchessa, were hitchhiking when Kemper offered them a ride. Instead of taking them to their intended destination, he drove them to a remote area where he murdered them.
