On March 7, 1996, Janice Cox, a 37-year-old African-American woman, was found murdered in Miami, Florida. Her death was part of a series of killings targeting African-American women involved in drug use. The victims, including Cox, were discovered beaten, burned, and partially clothed in or near Miami's inner city. The murders occurred between August 1995 and March 1996.
