In August of 2003, 82-year-old Clarence James and his 67-year-old wife, Lillian, were found murdered in their Bartlett, Tennessee, home. Their bodies were discovered by Lillian's daughter on the afternoon of August 23, 2003. Both had been strangled and had their throats slashed. The gruesome discovery inside their Bartlett Boulevard residence marked the beginning of a long legal saga to bring their killer to justice.
