Carlton Crawford, an 82-year-old disabled man, was tragically murdered on August 21, 2005, in Baltimore, Maryland. His death was part of a series of violent crimes committed by Raymont Hopewell, a serial killer who targeted elderly individuals in home invasions. Crawford was beaten and strangled to death in his bedroom at an apartment facility for the disabled. His murder was one of five killings attributed to Hopewell, who also committed multiple rapes and assaults during his crime spree.
