On a Tuesday evening in Baltimore, the life of 36-year-old Maurice Amiel Smith, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 30, 2023, at approximately 9:38 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 1900 block of Grinnalds Avenue. When police officers arrived at the scene to investigate the reported shooting, they discovered a man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
