Cheryl Lewrisey Coleman, a 33-year-old African American woman, was murdered on July 24, 1993, in Brunswick, Georgia. On the night of her death, she and her two-month-old son, Jamaree Clarence Coleman, visited her brother's residence. They left around 3 AM, declining an offered ride and instead choosing to walk.
