In the summer of 1973, the life of 22-year-old Doreen Hope Dempsey, a Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in Johnsonville, located in Florence County, South Carolina. Her death was not an accident but a brutal act at the hands of one of South Carolina's most infamous serial killers, Donald Henry 'Pee Wee' Gaskins. At the time of her death, Dempsey was pregnant and was accompanied by her two-year-old daughter.
