Matthew Bowman, a 19-year-old male from Harwood Heights, Illinois, tragically lost his life on July 5, 1977. Bowman was one of the victims of John Wayne Gacy, a notorious serial killer and sex offender who operated in Illinois. Gacy was responsible for the rape, torture, and murder of at least 33 young men and boys between 1962 and 1977.
