Kenneth Ray Parker, a 16-year-old white male from Chicago, Illinois, was last seen on October 24, 1976, alongside his close friend, 14-year-old Michael Marino. The two teenagers were spotted near a restaurant at the intersection of Clark Street and Diversey Parkway, an area known to be frequented by serial killer John Wayne Gacy when seeking victims. The following day, both boys were reported missing by their families.
In December 1978, authorities arrested John Wayne Gacy after discovering the remains of multiple young men and boys buried beneath his home in Norwood Park Township, Illinois. Among the 29 bodies recovered from Gacy's property, two were found buried together in a shared grave. These remains were later identified in March 1980 as those of Kenneth Parker and Michael Marino through dental records and X-rays, including evidence of a prior arm fracture in Parker's case.
Kenneth Parker was designated as 'Body #15' during the investigation. He had been strangled and buried in the crawl space beneath Gacy's house. The identification of Parker's remains provided some closure to his grieving family, confirming the tragic fate of the 16-year-old white male.
John Wayne Gacy was convicted of murdering 33 young men and boys, including Kenneth Parker, and was executed by lethal injection on May 10, 1994. The case remains one of the most notorious serial murder investigations in U.S. history, highlighting the vulnerabilities of youth and the importance of vigilant law enforcement.
