In the summer of 1973, a visit to the Boone County Fair in Lebanon, Indiana, took a tragic turn for 15-year-old Henry Michael Maser of Whitestown. On July 23rd, the young man, known as Mike, was enjoying the fair with a friend when he wandered off alone. This solitary moment proved to be fateful, as he crossed paths with Cecil Henry Floyd. In a senseless act of violence, Floyd shot the teenager three times in the head before stealing his wallet, which contained only $5.
