Rita May Sugrue, a 63-year-old woman, passed away on February 18, 1988. Her death was later linked to Jeffrey Lynn Feltner, a former nurse's aide who was convicted of multiple murders. Feltner, who worked at the New Life Acres nursing home in Melrose, Florida, was responsible for smothering several patients to death between 1988 and 1989. Sugrue was among the victims whose deaths were initially assumed to be natural but were later revealed to be homicides.
