Tyra Tassin, a 21-year-old African-American woman and mother of three, was found dead on September 3, 1991. She had a criminal record for drug possession. Her death was linked to a series of murders attributed to the unidentified serial killer known as the 'Storyville Slayer,' who targeted African-American women in New Orleans, Louisiana, between 1991 and 1996.
