On the festive evening of Mardi Gras, February 12, 2013, a night of celebration in New Orleans turned into a tragedy for 34-year-old Zabrina Davis. Davis, a resident of Baton Rouge, was in the city's 7th Ward when she was struck by gunfire in what authorities described as a seemingly random act of violence.
