In the winter of 1992, the life of a young, 25-year-old Black / African American woman named Irene Smith was tragically cut short in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On November 28, her body was discovered in the 3000 block of North 7th Street. An investigation revealed she had been brutally murdered, having been both strangled and stabbed.
