Frederick Capin, a 32-year-old man, was one of the victims of an unidentified serial killer known as 'The Doodler,' who was active in San Francisco between January 1974 and September 1975. The Doodler was believed to have targeted men in the city's gay community, meeting them at bars and nightclubs before sketching their likenesses and later attacking them.
