Laconia Shontel “Muggy” Brown, a 23-year-old Black woman, was last seen on May 27, 2008, in Jennings, Louisiana. Her body was discovered two days later, on May 29, 2008, by a police officer on Racca Road, a rural area leading to the police firing range. Brown was the fifth victim in a series of unsolved female homicides in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. She was laid to rest in Peterson Memorial Cemetery in Jennings.
