Joseph J. Cushman, a 52-year-old male corrections employee, tragically lost his life on October 24, 1982, in a violent incident at the Menard Correctional Center in Illinois. Cushman, who had served with the Illinois Department of Corrections for 19 years, was working as an agricultural lead worker at the time of his death.
